Kinepolis Belgium asked us to come up with a social idea to inspire people to go on a movie date on Valentine’s day.
So we challenged the ultimate romantic in ourselves and went all the way...

The social proposal

Valentine’s Day, the day a lot of people hope their partner will pop
the big question. Based on a classic engagement proposal, we created
an interactive concept for Kinepolis fans to pop the question to their
loved ones. But instead of asking them to marry... they invited them
for a date night at Kinepolis.

Instagram Stories

The concept was translated into Instagram Stories with the call to action
to share the story with their loved one and fool them into thinking they
received an engagement proposal... While instead they were asked to go
on a movie date at Kinepolis. How? By using the direct message feature.

Tag to propose
on Facebook

On Facebook we engaged people to tag their significant other in the comments
of a dedicated post. On every comment Kinepolis auto replied with a
personalised proposal. Every 150th comment received a proposal with
a Kinepolis ticket. Which meant you were the lucky winner of a
free date night in the cosy seats!

13.000 questions

Fans showed the campaign a lot of love! In the week leading up to Valentine,
a total of 2.000 questions were popped via Instagram and over 11.000 via Facebook.
